Lisa Dudzik on Construction Projects in Australia Designed for Locals and Tourists Alike

Australia is home to many wonderful beaches; most of which are frequented by tourists from all over the world for surfing. Hi, everyone! This is Lisa Dudzik. I live in Perth, Australia and I am proud to say that Perth has some of the most beautiful beaches and tourist hotspots this side of the country.

Being in the construction industry, I always make sure to check future and current projects undertaken by private and public agencies to better serve the locals while also providing more sightseeing opportunities for tourists.

Take the Yagan Square, for instance. The Square is situated in the center of Perth’s CBD. Construction began in February of this year, and completion is scheduled for 2017. It is a 1-hectare public space where a selection of restaurants and shops will soon rise.

The Square was developed to provide local commuters with a hub for resting, dining, and meeting family and friends. Tourists will also find it a convenient place for a rest stop while waiting to connect to Perth’s public transports.

Another significant project to look forward to is Perth City Link, an urban renewal project that will connect the city center with Northbridge—something that hasn’t been done or accomplished in 100 years! Estimated completion of the project is 2020—might be a long wait but I’m sure it’s all going to be worth it!

Other projects that I am keeping an eye on include the following:

  • Elizabeth Quay
  • Perth Stadium
  • Swan River Pedestrian Bridge
  • New Museum for Western Australia
  • Perth Airport-Forrestfield Link
  • Perth Children’s Hospital

As someone who has been directly involved with large-scale constructions projects, I know that projects of this magnitude aren’t easy to accomplish which is why I’m even more proud of what the city government of Perth is doing to realize these projects.

If you wish to get in touch with me, please feel free to contact me directly through this website. I am Lisa Dudzik, and I’d like to thank all of you for visiting!
